While most evaluations, including those for dyslexia, learning disabilities, autism, and ADHD, are conducted with children, adults can be assessed, too! In addition to assessing children, Dr. Fox works with adults to help them better understand themselves. There are many reasons to seek a learning evaluation as an adult, and maybe you recognize yourself in the following:

• Always struggled academically but never diagnosed with a learning disability

• Suspected dyslexia, autism, or ADHD and never tested

• Currently in college and on academic probation or having challenges for the first time

• Planning to go back to college or grad school and need accommodations

• Not advancing at work or have difficulties managing professional and home life and not sure why

• A family member, doctor, or therapist has suggested you may have ASD or ADHD

• Your child has been diagnosed with a learning disorder, and you have noticed similar behaviors in yourself

• Taking the GRE, LSAT, MCAT, or other professional exam and need accommodations

Sometimes, parents of college students or adult children have concerns and want to learn more about their adult child’s abilities, learning style, and mental health. As long as the adult child is willing to participate in the evaluation, Dr. Fox is happy to work with these families. It’s never too late for testing!

Many psychologists who offer learning evaluations only work with children, but Dr. Fox serves a wide age range.
